I have lived in the Inland Northwestern region of the U.S. since 1999.
Like anyone else, I have family, life experiences, employment history, personal interests and preferences.
My education and “credentials” are formal and informal and casual and whimsical. By the time anyone reaches my age, any of those things exist in quantities sufficient to fill a page, yet they can confuse, misdirect, and confound as readily as they might inform. I am neither seeking a job nor soliciting anyone’s agreement or approval, so all that “CV” stuff is pretty irrelevant here. I simply speak from my own understanding and share my perspective in a way that may, or may not, be helpful to a reader.
I am who I am, no more or less. My approach to my life and work is perhaps best described by a quote – slightly paraphrased – from the movie Kundun:
“I try to be a reflection, like the moon on water.
When you see me, trying to live life well, you see yourself.”
