This website, antegodlin.com, is a window into the world of its creator, Bob Edwards. Some of the opinions collected here are reprinted from other sources; others originate here.
This window is not a one-way window that looks into some closed private space. It is an open doorway into the larger space that we all share, a space of the varying colors of light and sound that always enrich the larger circle of our common universe.
A careful reader will notice that the information, opinions, and comments here share a common spirit and humanity. Appearing as letters, essays, stories, reviews, and excerpts of larger articles from other sources, they are related in ways that may often be overlooked. When they are read with an open mind, with a mind that allows them to be seen as integral parts of a larger “whole”, they can act to broaden the reader’s perspective. If they succeed in doing so, that broadening will thus expand the world in which we all live.
Some readers – participants here – may be annoyed or even offended by parts of their experience with this website. That is not surprising, and it is not entirely accidental. All of us know someone who provides comfort and reassurance by telling us what we already know and agree with. We often overlook the alternative understanding that we are better served by a teacher, a friend, who provokes our thoughts and our hearts by challenging our unexamined reality.
I hope that you will find something here that provokes you and that reaffirms what is true to the center of your own being. If you find that here, it may help you become your own friend and teacher – and to continually re-examine your own reality.
